Little Scraggy Camp

   Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in October of 1974, Green Mountain Ranch, Buffalo Creek, CO is a historic 160-acre ranch that was homesteaded by our family in the 1890’s, it is filled with History from the Ute Indians, its start as a mining Claim, becoming a homestead, Cattle Ranch, Horse Ranch and so much more!! Find Culturally Modified Trees, Travoi Lines in the earth, old farm fields, historic buildings and more!

 Little Scraggy Camp is located across from the Disc Golf Course! This totally off-grid location is surrounded by Pike National Forest, yet has easy access from a paved road. We offer several accommodations and glamping sites, as well as sites for moderate sized RVs, travel trailers, truck campers, vans, tents, and hammocks. Additionally, we have sites for small groups (up to 14 people) and large groups (35-300 people). 

  *Tava is the Ute name for Pikes Peak. Tava is the first mountain along the Front Range to have the sun shine on it at dawn and Tava is situated in what is known to the Ute people as “The Shining Mountains,” and to present people as the Pike National Forest which surrounds the ranch.  Nomadic hunter-gatherers, the Ute spent their summers in this area.  Pikes Peak is visible from many areas of the ranch! 

 Situated in a small clearing on a ridge and facing east, as is traditional, our *Tava Lodge Tipi is named in honor of the Utes who summered here.  Step inside and back in time to experience an historic nomadic shelter.   

 Travel trailers, Fifth wheels, Toy haulers, Pop-up campers, Class B RVs, Class C RVs, Campervans, and Cars allowed!! Check availability of sites! 

The Little Scraggy Mountain Bike trail is located just off the property and ties into the world class Mountain Biking Trails of the Buffalo Creek area!
